Welcome to 6th-grade Advanced ELAR / Advanced Reading and the new school year! My name is Dionne Lindberg, and I will be your child's teacher. I am delighted to have your child in my class this year. I am dedicated to providing a safe and cooperative learning environment that allows all students to grow academically and personally. Your child will be a part of many exciting and rewarding experiences this academic year with your encouragement. 

My classroom is a work-oriented environment, where students are self-motivated and able to communicate their ideas freely. They will receive strong guidance when necessary, but my overall goal is to build critical thinking skills. I will do this by providing them the autonomy to investigate materials through student-centered discussions, and I will not solely rely on lectures. 

I feel that developing a safe, orderly, and nurturing environment is the responsibility of all classroom participants. Therefore, I have high expectations for myself and have high expectations for my students. With hard work, patience, and your support, I do not doubt that we can all succeed this year, learn from one another, and have fun in the process. 

I have compiled this class syllabus to provide information on the new school year's policies, procedures, and expectations. Please review the syllabus with your child. I look forward to a great year. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me through the school or your child.

Este año seré el maestro de ELAR de sexto grado de su hijo / a. Con el fin de garantizar a su hijo / a y a todos los estudiantes de mi salón de clases la excelente educación que merecen, les he proporcionado mi plan de estudios, reglas y expectativas.

 Tómese el tiempo para leer esta información con su hijo. Planeo estar en contacto con ustedes durante todo el año escolar. Estaré disponible para tutoría y planeo darle a su hijo el 100% de mí mismo durante la clase. Espero que cada estudiante me dé un 100% a cambio. Con su apoyo y trabajando en equipo, ¡tendremos un año exitoso!

 Revisaré esta información el primer día de clases en detalle con su hijo. Aunque revisaré esta información con su hijo / a, tómese el tiempo para leer y discutir esta carta con ellos. Una vez que lo haya hecho, firme y fecha el formulario y devuélvamelo por correo electrónico.
