Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

This year is quickly going by as we are coming to the end of the 4th six weeks.  Our students have been really busy and have begun to leave their mark on many great accomplishments by achieving high levels of success in their classrooms, district assessments and extra curricular activities.

March is a busy month as we begin assessing many of our students with the TELPAS exam.  STAAR assessments are right around the corner as well.  Our 7th and 8th grade students will begin the “first round” of testing on April 10-11.

As parents you can help by making sure your child is taking advantage of every intervention opportunity such as our weekly after school and Super Saturdays tutorials, iXL, Achieve 3000, and many other  programs and resources available.  Help your child stay on a schedule and offer encouragement such as “You can do it!” and “Try your best!” We feel confident that if our  students are using the tools and  strategies that they have been  provided, they will be successful.    Together we will help our students strive for excellence in all that they do!

It is always a pleasure seeing our families so involved here at United Middle School.  Thank you for all you do to help support your children and our school.  I am truly honored to be your principal and have wholeheartedly enjoyed working with you as we make positive changes in our great school!!

Your Proud Principal,

Mrs. R. Morales
